Goose Green Primary and Nursery School

Dear Parents, Families and Friends,

I am delighted to have been assigned to Goose Green Primary School as Interim Headteacher and already feel part of the ‘family’.

Our school is situated in East Dulwich, a busy and thriving area in South East London and we enjoy the diversity that London brings, welcoming cultures from all over the world. Our magnificent building stands tall for all to see and we frequently reach out to our community using the local green for events, decorating the area with our murals, and providing a wonderful experience for local children of high quality music and drama in our Saturday academy – East Dulwich Academy for Music and Performing Arts.

Goose Green has so much to offer and hopefully you will get a taste of this when you look through our website. Our curriculum is alive and exciting, the children are extremely busy moving from one learning experience to another, these include specialist music, PE and art teaching of a high standard, Forest Schools, Spanish and Mindfulness. Mathematics and Literacy are also taught in an exciting way – Literacy through interesting and motivating texts and maths through practical experiences and physical resources.

Our school is inclusive, making sure that all abilities have access to our curriculum and all children can reach their full potential and more – there are no ceilings at Goose Green! We are a Growth Mindset school and endeavour to create motivated learners who embrace challenge, learn from their mistakes and know that they can ‘grow’ their intelligence.

We have plenty to do as we continually strive to improve our school; with our young and creative staff, strong leadership team and wonderful children and parents, we know that we are looking forward to a positive and stable future.
